MERCURY RUBBERS FIRE RESISTANT RUBBER
CONVEYOR BELTING

MERCURY RUBBERS Fire Resistant Rubber Conveyor Belting meets the DIN & Canadian Bureau of Mines specification. The important features of MERCURY RUBBERS Fire Resistant Conveyor Belting are:
   (i) Resistance to fire
   (ii) Excellent abrasion resistance
(iii) Resistance to grease & oil
(iv) Improved drivability under wet conditions.
It is available in widths up to 1500 mm with reinforcement of Cotton/Cotton, Cotton/Nylon, and Synthetic fabrics. Apart from all the tests of IS 1891 (Part 1)-1988 e.g. full thickness breaking strength, Elongation, Adhesion etc. the MERCURY RUBBERS fire resistant grade (FR) Belting is subjected to most stringent tests of fire resistance property. These tests are :
  (i) Flame Test
  (ii) Drum Friction Test
  (iii) Electrical Resistance Test
MERCURY RUBBERS laboratory is well equipped with its. technical personnels & testing facilities for carrying out all the above tests.

As per DIN 22103. Acceptance Norms:
Maximum duration of flame - 45 secondsfor 6 nos. test pieces

Maximum duration of flame for individual test piece - 15 seconds.

As per AS 1334.10.
The Average duration of the visible flame shall not exceed 30 seconds and average duration of the visible afterglow shall not exceed 120 seconds.

the duration of the visible flame of any test piece shall no exceed 45 seconds and the duration of the visible afterglow of any test piece shall not exceed 180 seconds.

For each set of four samples, when tested in accordance with clause 4.1 , the average duration of flame shall not exceed 60 seconds.
Drum friction test Not Specified As per AS 1334.11 the surface temp. of the drum shall not exceed 325º and there shall be novisible flaming or visible glowing. For each test conducted as per clause 4.2 , the belting shall show no sign of flame ( sparks and glow not being objectionable ) and the drum temperature shall not exceed 400º C.
Electrical Resistance As per DIN 22104
Acceptance Norms :
Average value on bot h the upper and lower surfaces of the belting shall not be greater than 300 Mega ohms.
Not Specified When tested in accordance with Clause 4.4 , each of averages shall not exceed 300 Mega ohms.
